names and email addresses

It would appear there are many people in the world who have gmail addresses and a name very similar to mine.

It would seem someone called Laura K Clarke has a gmail address.
Someone called Laura Clark has a gmail address.
Someone who worked for Mitch Romney has a gmail address.
Someone who attends Austrialian National University has a gmail address.
Someone who lives in Canada and volunteers for lots of things has a gmail address.

I am sure these are all lovely people. I just wish they, their friends, current and past and their companies/schools etc were capable of typing the correct email address so I didn't receive spam, missives from long lost friends, travel arrangements, notifications of the ANU Tennis Club events etc etc on their behalf.

It must be very annoying! I was lucky with my maiden name as I was the only Jessica Lenham on google, so no one else had anything like my email address. Of course, Muirhead is much more common, and jessica muirhead was already gone, so I had to have jess muirhead.

Of course, my parents and aunt didn't really understand and kept email some other poor Jessica Muirhead. *sigh* Jessica Lenham still WORKS!

I have already registered on for my soon to be surname.

I had to go to the lengths of lejstephen as none of the other ones works. I think it will possibly be the only good use of my confirmation name

Dear Prof. Yaffley, I am interested in booking some time with you to discuss your recent publication in relation to the political upheaval it has caused.
I thank you for your time
